Emily Chen is Co-founder of Kaiyuanshe and currently serves as General Manager of Open Source Strategy and Ecosystem at Dexmal. She is a long-time open source practitioner and community leader, dedicated to advancing collaboration between China and the global open source ecosystem.
Under her leadership, Kaiyuanshe became the first Chinese Affiliate Member of the Open Source Initiative (OSI). She also initiated several influential projects, including the China Open Source Annual Report and COSCon.
Emily was a contributor to Mozilla, a GSoC mentor, and a TOC Mentor at the OpenAtom Foundation. Recently, she initiated the RoboChallenge platform and community, one of the first large scale real robot evaluation benchmarks for embodied intelligence.
With over 20 years of experience, she worked at Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and Microsoft, with expertise in open source governance, cloud computing, and embodied intelligence.
