Reachy Mini: How to Have Fun with Expressive Robotics

Date May 6 Time 16:05 - 16:30 Location Founders Cafe
What happens when a robot stops being just hardware and starts feeling… alive?

In this talk, I’ll share my hands-on journey with Reachy Mini.
From first experiments to pushing its limits with custom hardware, AI integrations, and unconventional use cases.
Along the way, I explored what makes robots expressive, engaging, and genuinely fun to interact with.

From building light-up eyes and integrating mmWave sensors for presence and vital signs, to connecting AI systems like virtual try-on models, this session dives into how small, playful experiments can unlock surprisingly powerful capabilities.

This is not a polished product story. It’s a builder’s perspective, raw, practical, and focused on what actually works.

If you're curious about robotics, AI, or just want to see how far you can stretch a small expressive robot, this talk is for you.
